Texas Corn Producers Association is excited to announce its 2023 student scholarship recipients. TCPA offers high school scholarships, college scholarships, and also Agriculture Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) scholarships.
This year, two high school and two college students were selected to receive $1,000 to put toward their academic careers. There were also an additional seven students who received $500 for the AFNR Educator Scholarship.
High School Recipients
Savannah Sinclair
Sinclair is a senior at Panhandle High School in Panhandle, Texas. She plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in agricultural communications. Sinclair served as the Panhandle FFA Chapter President and the Carson County 4-H Council President.
Miranda Skaggs
Skaggs is from Bryan, Texas, and plans to attend Texas A&M University next fall where she will study in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Skaggs was previously a Texas 4-H Youth Livestock Ambassador and a Texas 4-H Council Secretary and At-Large Delegate.
College Recipients
Caden Carver
Carver will be a junior at Texas A&M University next fall. At Texas A&M, he majors in animal science and minors in agricultural economics. Carver is on the rodeo team and Texas A&M College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Council.
Christian Camacho
Camacho is from Booker, Texas, and is a student at West Texas A&M University. At WTAMU, he studies plant, soil, and environmental science. Camacho is also a crop physiology research assistant.
