Students have the opportunity to apply for scholarships through Texas Corn Producers Association (TCPA) through January 31, 2022. The TCPA student scholarship application opened online at TexasCorn.org on October 1 to student members.
Each year, TCPA awards $1,000 scholarships to two high school seniors and two college undergraduate students.
“Investing in students is investing in the future leaders of the agriculture industry and our Texas communities,” Hannah Turner, the education director for TCPA, said. “It is important to the association to invest in the next generation who will become industry and community leaders. Through these scholarships, we hope to enable more young people to have the opportunity to further their education.”
To be considered for this scholarship students must:
- Be an active TCPA student member
- Submit a resume and reference letter
- Answer essay questions
Applicants must be a student or grower member of TCPA to qualify for all scholarship opportunities. Included with TCPA student membership is a complimentary membership with NCGA — making students eligible for even more benefits and national scholarship opportunities.
Visit the TCPA website to access the application form. Beginning this year, students can apply for both TCPA and National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) scholarships using one application! Students should select “Texas Corn Producers Association Scholarships” as well as any NCGA scholarships they would like to be considered for when applying.
