When you think of healthy, growing crops you may think of vibrant green fields with a couple of farmers tending to the land. On August 13, you can find these farmers on a different type of green field with a golf club in hand! Texas Corn Producers Association (TCPA) invites you to come out to Dalhart, Texas, and enjoy an afternoon of golfing with friends.

This 18-hole game, benefiting the Texas Corn Political Action Committee (PAC), will be held at Twisted Elms Golf Club in Dalhart.  Each entry for the two-person scramble tournament includes: hole contests, tournament favors, cart and meal. The registration fee for the event is $150 per person and also enters contestants in a chance to win cash prizes.

The TCPA’s Texas Corn PAC enables the state’s farmers to support the state and federal legislators who defend Texas agriculture on a regular basis. As Texas cities continue to grow, rural – and often agricultural – constituents receive less and less representation in both Austin and D.C. National and state legislators are both increasingly further removed from the farm and ranch.

Check-in for the tournament will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a tee time of 1:00 p.m. To register for the tournament, contact the Twisted Elms Gold Club Pro Shop at 806.244.5597. Those interested in sponsoring should contact Robert Gordon at 806.333.2833.
