Texas Corn Producers (TCP) is proud to announce the 2023 Outstanding Agent Award winner: Vidal Saenz from Hidalgo County.

Vidal Saenz from Hidalgo County receives the Outstanding Agent Award.

Each year, TCP recognizes a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension agent who shows exceptional commitment to serving corn growers. These outstanding Agents demonstrate community outreach, attend field days, communicate with growers, and coordinate efforts with TCP.

Saenz checks all of these boxes and others. He also organizes the Rio Grande Valley Corn and Pre-Plant Conference. Over 150 farmers attend the well-known annual conference each year. The conference provides growers with valuable information and tools to be more effective and efficient on their farmers.

Saenz also attends other agricultural events and offers commodity updates and is always sure to be a great resource for Hidalgo County.

“Vidal has been great to work with throughout the years,” TCP Industry Affairs Director Angie Martin said. “He is an asset to Hidalgo County and Texas Corn Producers, we’re lucky to have him.”
