Registration now open for the 2022 Master Marketer Program

Since 1996, the Master Marketer Program provides participants with a better understanding of risk management by increasing their knowledge of developing marketing plans, general risk management, and crop and livestock marketing strategies.

This year, the Master Marketer Program will host three different sessions, January 25-27, February 9-10, 23-24, and March 9-10. This program will be offered in person at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Center in Amarillo, Texas, as well as through optional Zoom morning sessions. Registration is now open for this year’s program.

These days will be spent in educational sessions such as futures and options markets, budgets and break evens, crop and livestock fundamentals and insurance, legal and financial risk, weather, and technical analysis.

After completing the 64-hour training, agricultural producers are encouraged to participate in marketing clubs to extend their knowledge of marketing by communicating with economists and county agents. These clubs also provide the opportunities to share the knowledge gained from the Master Marketer Program with others.

Graduates of the program have reported seeing a $35,000, or 4.5%, increase on their annual returns. Along with the financial gain received from this program, there was also a report of a 134% increase in those who ended up adopting a marketing plan for their business and a 560% increase in having a written plan of those who did adopt a marketing plan.

Although geared towards agricultural producers and business leaders with some experience in marketing and that possess an understanding of futures and options markets, Texas A&M AgriLife encourages those with an interest in the program to register.
