Swisher County Spring Ag Meeting

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct the Swisher County Spring Ag Meeting and Noxious Weed District annual meeting April 29th  in Tulia.

The event starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Swisher County Show Barns, take FM 1318 from Tulia then take CR 16 for 1 mile.

The schedule is as follows:

  • 9:00 a.m. – Dr. Justin Benavidez, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Assistant Professor & Extension Specialist Agricultural Economics – How to Make a Profit in Today’s Economy
  • 9:45 a.m. – Angie Martin & Bryce White, Texas Corn Producers – Possible Economic Opportunities in “Sustainability” and Texas Corn Producers Update
  • 10:20 a.m. – Dr. Adam Hixson, Agronomist BASF – Making Residual Herbicides Work 10:55 am Blayne Reed, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension EA-IPM Hale & Swisher – Advancements & Developments in IPM and Irrigation Scheduling in Modern West Texas Agriculture
  • 11:25 a.m. – Dr. Ken Obasa, Texas A&M AgriLife Research, Assistant Professor Plant Pathology and Microbiology – Developments and Advancements in Crop Disease Management
  • 12:00 p.m – Lunch
