Elementary Curriculum

Corn in the Classroom is a K-5 curriculum that offers students an understanding of where their food is produced – while meeting science Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)! Engaging, hands-on lessons meet students’ age-appropriate educational needs, while introducing them to agriculture through core STEM skills. These lessons include in-person and virtual activities for students, and are available in both English and Spanish.

Workshop & Event Schedule

Corn in the Classroom professional development sessions provide information on classroom application of the curriculum, give teachers a firsthand look into the motivation behind its creation, and equip teachers with the background knowledge and materials they need to incorporate these lessons into their classrooms.

Full-day workshop participants will receive a class set of many of the supplies needed for these lessons.

Registration is facilitated by the regional education service centers.
