Texas Corn Producers Association (TCPA) will hold its annual membership meeting on Friday, January 7 in Lubbock, Texas, and with availability to participate via Zoom. The meeting coincides with the board of directors’ meeting.
Congressman Jodey Arrington will open the meeting, offering his perspective on the federal policy landscape and its impact on Texas agriculture. TCPA President Charles Ring will then provide a brief overview of recent association advocacy efforts and activities.
At the meeting, TCPA will hold elections for board seats with expiring terms, including seats in Regions 1, 4 and 5, and two At-Large board seats.
TCPA board members with expiring terms are:
- Region 1: Dee Vaughan of Moore County
- Region 4: Daniel Berglund of Wharton County
- Region 5: Colin Chopelas of Nueces County
- At-Large: Joe Reed of Swisher County
- At-Large: Wesley Spurlock of Sherman County
Additionally, TCPA members will slate officers for the coming year. Current officers are: President Charles Ring of San Patricio County, Vice President Jim Sugarek of Bee County, and Secretary/Treasurer Hagen Hunt of Hale County.
