Every year Texas A&M AgriLife Research runs performance tests to analyze hybrid corn performance for the year at multiple locations across the state. This information is used to help farmers with their variety selections to increase yields and profitability. The 2021 results are in and available HERE.
These performance tests are performed by the Crop Testing Program, Texas A&M AgriLife Research. A total of 281 sites were tested in major corn production areas, including Western Gulf Coastal Plains, Southern Texas Plains, East Central Texas Plains, Texas Blackland Prairies and the High Plains.
Trials began following harvest season and through harvest over the past year. Once completed, the data aims to provide farmers valuable insight as they make decisions prior to the upcoming planting season.
