Over 20 percent of corn grown in the United States is exported annually.
The Texas Corn Producers works with the U.S. Grains Council (USGC), a non-profit corporation, to develop and expand foreign markets.
Through its 10 international offices and operations in over 80 countries, the U.S. Grains Council creates export programs that align with each country’s individual need. Beyond the marketing of corn, barley, grain sorghum and related products they also offer technical programs to foreign livestock and poultry producers on the use of feed grains and encourage positive trade policy initiatives to limit foreign barriers to U.S. grains export.
Membership funds collected by the U.S. Grains Council receive matching market development funds from the U.S. government resulting in a development program worth over $20 million annually.
Grain export is an important effort that results in increased profitability for American producers and improved quality of life for millions around the world.
