Let your voice be heard at agriculture town hall meeting

Express your farm’s needs to U.S. Congressman John Carter

RepCarterTEMPLE, Texas (August 15, 2017) – Corn Producers Association of Texas will be hosting U.S. Congressman John Carter of District 31for an agriculture town hall meeting in Temple, Texas, on Monday, Aug. 21. The meeting will be held at the Oscar Store, 8133 Oscar Spur, Temple, Texas from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

CPAT encourages farmers to attend and give their input on farm legislation, as well as other areas impacting farmers and the businesses in the Congressman’s district.

Rep. Carter will be gaining insight from Texas farmers on what they are facing on their farms and ranches. He will hear first hand what these individuals are experiencing, and what they would like to be done to better help them.

The congressman will be in the district to visit with area farmers about the following, with an open discussion afterward:

  • Farm Bill
  • Tax reform
  • Appropriations

There will be a FREE lunch, provided by CPAT for farmers in attendance.
