Texas Corn Producers (TCP) encourages farmers to attend a Corn Farmer Town Hall Meeting in the coming weeks. TCP directors and staff will be facilitating discussions with farmers at 10 separate town hall meetings across the state in January through March.
TCP directors and staff are seeking corn farmers’ input on farm legislation, as well as other areas impacting farmers and their business regionally. Corn farmers have the opportunity to align the advocacy efforts and priorities of the Texas corn checkoff and association to best support them. A FREE meal will be provided to farmers in attendance of each meeting.
“Our organizations work diligently on behalf of the farmers in Texas,” TCP Executive Director David Gibson said. “This is a crucial opportunity for us to receive the input and feedback we need to continue best supporting corn farmers across the state now and in the future.”
A wide array of topics will be covered at the Corn Farmer Town Halls, including:
“We look forward to providing farmers a free meal and discuss issues and challenges impacting their farms,” Gibson said. “Having this firsthand feedback is a crucial part of ensuring that TCP is representing and advocating for corn farmers in the best ways possible.”
